AMTEC Consulting has contributed to a new guide published by Intellect's
Document Management Group, which uses a checklist approach to provide practical
advice on the development, implementation, maintenance, extension or replacement
of a document management solution. 'Implementing
document management - recommended practices and lessons learned' is the
second in a series of publications aimed at anyone involved in managing or
overseeing a document management project or system. The Intellect team was
delighted with the success of last year's publication entitled:
'Document management concerns the whole board - a guide for all
directors', which helped board-level executives to understand the
information-heavy future that organisations everywhere are facing. "The guide provides a good basis for ensuring the successful
implementation and ongoing maintenance of a document management
system", says AMTEC's Malcolm Beach, who co-authored the latest guide.
"It covers issues that arise through the full lifecycle of a document
management project". AMTEC Consulting supports clients in gaining productivity and efficiency
benefits through the exploitation of information and knowledge, and was one of a
handful of Intellect's 800 member organisations to work on the new paper. If you would like a copy of this paper or you would like to learn more about
how AMTEC Consulting can help your organisation to solve your information
management challenges, please send your details to Malcolm Beach,
Senior Consultant in AMTEC's Information and Knowledge Management Practice.
